See it in action

Flipping cards and acting out ridiculous holiday mash-ups. Here’s what a Christmas Flabberbash game night looks like.

What is Christmas Flabberbash?

The Christmas party game everyone can play

Christmas Flabberbash is a fast, silly card game for families and friends. Everyone plays a Character Card at the same time — an Elf, Snowman, Reindeer or Gingerbread — and the rarest one wins. Winners earn Star Cards, and every round ends with the table acting out a ridiculous holiday mash-up.

There’s no board, no heavy rulebook and nothing to set up beyond shuffling. Kids as young as four can play with grandparents, and a game stretches from a ten-minute warm-up to an all-night party.

How to play

Learn it in three steps.

Every round is a quick burst of luck, nerve and performance. Here’s the whole game in a nutshell.

  1. 1

    Flip!

Everyone plays one Character Card face-down. Count “3, 2, 1…” and flip.

  2. 2

    Be the oddball

The rarest Character group wins a Star Card. Tied? Cooperate with a Green Tree — or go for it all with a Red Nutcracker.

  3. 3

    Act it out

The winner judges while everyone performs a mash-up — like “slipping on ice while carrying an armful of gifts”… as a zombie.

Most Star Cards at the end leads the grand finale: the Flabberbash!
